There will not be a Valentine’s Day Party. Students may exchange Valentines in class and are welcome to bring a decorated Valentine Box. I will be sending home a list with students on Monday, February 5, 2018. I am inviting students to write each student’s name on the card to make it more personal. I am also hoping they will accept the challenge to write in cursive. It would be a great opportunity to practice what we have been learning in class.
Students should be working on creating items for the 4th Grade Rendezvous Party. These items are to be handmade and not purchased from a store. Students may buy things to create the item such as googly eyes, sticks, pom poms, glue and the like. It need not be expensive. We have had students fold origami out of scrap paper and paint rocks. I have explained to the class the criteria. Students know that it is their job to create and not their parents. I will post ideas on the website sometime next week. There is not a set limit of items. This activity and party will tie in with our Utah History Mountain Men Unit. It has always been a favorite amongst the 4th grade students and teachers. Students may dress for the occasion. More details will be coming.
A new goal for ALEKS has been set for March 10. We have had a few complete the 4th Grade in ALEKS and would love to add more to the list. Our class had such a great turn out last Thursday.
Thanks for all you do. You have wonderful children.
